Please reference the July Portfolio Production page for the updated Tech Week schedule. Times on Thursday July 7th and Friday July 8th have changed due to a college orientation event being held at the theatre those days. Thank you, apologies for any inconveniences this may have caused.
Check out the July Portfolio Production page for both a list of this year’s show order, and the calendar for Tech Week. Questions? Email us at email@example.com .
Tickets for the July Portfolio Production are now available at the studio for pre-sale, at $18 per ticket.
Tickets can also be purchased at the theater during dress rehearsals for $18. Tickets purchased at the door before each show are $22.
Show times for this year’s JPP:
Saturday July 9: 12:00 pm and 5:00 pm
Sunday July 10: 12:00 pm and 5:00 pm
During the month of June, the studio has spirit days, where dancers dress up according to a theme! Below are the dates of the spirit days. Please note: dancers should still be able to dance and participate in class in their costume/outfit. Accessories might have to be taken off for class.
Wednesday June 15: Holiday Day— wear an outfit to represent your favorite holiday!
Friday June 17: Food Day— dress up like a type of food!
Tuesday June 21: Old Costumes Day— this Tuesday we’re throwing it back to past shows; wear one of your old costumes to class, or mix and match several into one great getup!
Wednesday June 29: Ms. Mary Day— we all admire Mary for her dedication to the studio and all she’s done… but also her fashion sense! This day is to honor Mary; put together an outfit that she would wear and wear it to class.
Get creative with your ideas! Can’t wait to see all the fantastic outfits!
The Mini Show was a big success! Congratulations to all the dancers who performed, everyone looked fantastic!
We are now accepting enrollment forms for this fall— from both new and returning dancers. Forms can be picked up at the studio, or accessed here, and returned to the studio or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org . Class times and further info are not yet final and will be released after the July Portfolio Production. Any questions or concerns about the Pre-Dancer program can be directed to the email above.
Our annual Songs from the Nutcracker performance will this season has been renamed as our “Winter Portfolio”. We are excited to include more than just our Nutcracker songs with an audience and have expanded this performance to showcase ballet, modern and special performance by our senior Tour Group. Part 1 of the performance will still be our “Songs from the Nutcracker”. This season using the Duke Ellington version of the Nutcracker Suite students will share their beatnik style ballet. The 2015 Student Choreography Project was incredibly inspiring this fall and we wanted to give the students another chance to showcase the work they put into “Selfie vs Self Portrait”. This piece will be re staged for part 2 of the Winter Portfolio but still includes each of the students self portrait solos expressing who they are. Part 3 of each performance is our very own Tour Group performing their “Holiday Spectacular”. The CSDC Tour Group consists of middle and high school aged students who perform monthly at local retirement homes and nursing centers. They have prepared a couple of special holiday songs for their December performances at the retirement homes and we are excited for them to share with our Winter Portfolio audience as well.

Make sure to review the dress code for each of your classes to make sure you are ready for your first lesson. Please email us with any questions you have about what to wear or what type of shoes to get. And remember to keep your hair up and out of your beautiful faces!

We are pleased to have so much interest in our Pre-Dancer Summer Sessions, and both the Tuesday and Wednesday classes are now full. If you didn’t get to sign up, don’t worry, fall classes will be starting before you know it.
We are currently taking applications for the fall Pre-Dancer classes which will begin in September, the day after Labor Day, and run through to the May of 2016. Take a look at our Pre-Dance tab for more information about the program. Email us for enrollment applications: email@example.com
